- Input power characteristics for the whole machine
Connect an AC voltage regulator to the AC power input end of the machine, change the AC input voltage of the machine, and check the input voltage range for the normal operation of the machine. It is required that the input voltage of the machine to work normally is 110v-260v, and the input power is not more than 50w.
- Temperature characteristics of the whole machine
Test the highest temperature point at normal temperature (25°C) when the whole machine is working under full load. Is it normal for the whole machine to work at full load for 24 hours at 55 degrees Celsius. When the machine is required to work at room temperature, the maximum temperature in the chassis does not exceed 50 degrees. It can work normally for more than 24 hours in a 55 degree environment.

- Compatibility Test
It mainly tests the connection ability between the fiber media converter and other devices compatible with Ethernet and Fast Ethernet (including network card, HUB, Switch, optical network card, and optical switch). The requirement must be able to support the connection of compatible products.
- Cable connection characteristics
Test the fiber media converter’s ability to support network cables. First of all, you should test the connection ability of 100m, 10m and other lengths of Category 5 network cables, and test the connection ability of long-term Category 5 network cables of different brands. During the test, the optical port of the transceiver is required to have a connection capability of 10Mbps and 100Mbps, and the highest must be able to connect to a full-duplex 100Mbps without transmission errors. - Transmission characteristics
It mainly tests the packet loss rate when the fiber media converter optical port transmits different data packets, and the connection speed under different connection rates. For the packet loss rate, you can use the test software that comes with the network card to test the packet loss rate when the packet size is 64, 512, 1518, 128 (optional) and 1000 (optional) bytes under different connection rates. , the wrong number of packets, the number of packets sent and received must be more than 2,000,000. - The compatibility of the whole machine to the transmission network protocol
It mainly tests the compatibility of fiber media converter to network protocols. It can be tested in Novell, Windows and other environments. The following low-level network protocols such as TCP/IP, IPX, NETBIOS, DHCP, etc. must be tested, and the protocols that need to be broadcast must be tested.
