Analog optical mux needs to modulate the amplitude or frequency of the signal to convert the electrical signal into optical signal. The optical signal is received at the terminal, and demodulation is needed to restore the data and image information.
Digital optical mux is to use a number like 0,1 to digitize data and images, compile them into multi-channel low-speed signals, and then convert them into optical signals. At the terminal, the optical signals are reduced to multi-channel low-speed signals, and finally converted into video, images, data, etc.
