2 Channel AES50 Digital Audio Repeater

AES50 is a digital interface standard designed for professional audio transmission. It was developed by the Audio Engineers Society (AES) to provide a high-reliability, low-latency multi-channel audio transmission solution.

This 2-channel AES50 repeater can extend any AES50 connection to a distance of 100 meters, but for longer distances, multiple repeater devices can be connected in series (daisy chain) together. Designed for sound reinforcement, this repeater has two inputs and outputs, providing bidirectional transmission of 24 channels of 96kHz audio or 48 channels of 48kHz audio, all 24 bits plus control data. Each input and output is connected through a XLR RJ45 connector, each connector has an LED indicator.

● Dual AES50 repeater, AES50 is a bidirectional audio protocol, but it is divided into “IN” and “OUT” to distinguish the direction of clock transmission.

● It can provide bidirectional transmission of bidirectional 24-channel 96kHz audio or bidirectional 48-channel 48kHz audio, both of which are 24 bits plus control data

● Each input and output of AES50 has an LED indicator.

●The AES50 repeater cable can be up to 100m long and must be Cat5e or Cat6.

●The repeater input is connected to the clock master station, and the repeater output is connected to the clock slave station.

●When daisy-chaining, always connect the output of one repeater to the input of another.

●After power is on, when the AES50 cable is connected to the device (input or output), its local corresponding green LED lights up. When the connection is active, the LED flashes.
