Industrial Grade Din Rail Type 24 channels RS485 Hub

The 24-channel RS485 isolated hub features eight fully electrically isolated RS485 channels, each with an independent RS485 transceiver, ensuring minimal transmission latency across all 24 channels. Complying with the RS485 standard, it supports transparent, protocol-independent RS485 message transmission, making it suitable for a variety of applications, such as Modbus. To connect monitoring devices such as PCs to the network, the hub’s uplink port can be configured as an RS232 port, eliminating the need for an additional RS485-to-RS232 adapter. In the event of a lightning strike or device failure, the affected network segment is isolated, ensuring the normal operation of other segments. This feature significantly improves the reliability of existing RS485 networks and effectively reduces maintenance time.

Each of the 24-channel RS485 isolated hubs features 6kV lightning protection, optical isolation, and an isolation voltage of up to 2.5kV. Each channel has an independent ground, ensuring that if one RS485 bus is damaged, the devices on the other RS485 buses are protected. Each RS485 port can carry up to 128 devices. Each RS485 port, power supply, and RS232 port also have 6kV lightning protection. When OFF, disables the digital filtering function for each RS485 channel, limiting the maximum baud rate to 200kbps.

When ON, enables the digital filtering function for each RS485 channel, limiting the maximum baud rate to 38400bps (for improved immunity to line interference).

DIP-2, 3, 4: Reserved

● Based on an FPGA design, it features common-mode inductor differential filtering and an FPGA digital filter (for enhanced interference resistance), filtering out line glitchesand automatically generating accurate RS485 transmit/receive switching enable signals based on transmitted data.

● Each RS485 channel has 6kV lightning protection and 2.5kV optical isolation. Each RS485 channel features an independent shielded ground connection and LED indicators for transmit and receive.

● Each RS485 channel can carry at least 32 standard nodes or 128 Enhanced node;

● The power supply ground is isolated from the 24-channel RS485 ground. The RS485 grounds for channels 1-24are also isolated from each other, all with 2.5kV electrical isolation. Direct AC220V or AC380V voltage input will not damage other isolated RS485 devices.

● In the event of a lightning strike or device failure, the affected network segment will be isolated to ensure normal operation of other segments.

● The RS232/422/485 uplink port is optional, with a serial port baud rate of 0-200kBps (higher baud rates can be customized). The maximum baud rate is 38400bps when the FPGA digital filter function is enabled.
