Serial RS232/RS422/RS485 to E1 Converter

This device adopts a large-scale FPGA design, it provides 1 E1 interface and 1 RS232/485/422 serial interface for transmitting RS232/485/422 over the E1. It overcomes the contradiction between the communication distance and communication rate of traditional serial interfaces. It also solves the challenges of electromagnetic interference, ground loop interference, and lightning damage, greatly improving the reliability, security, and confidentiality of data communication.

It can be widely used in various industrial control, process control, and traffic control applications, especially suitable for banks, power systems, and departments/systems with special requirements for electromagnetic interference environments. The RS232/RS485/RS422 channel can transmit adaptable serial data asynchronously at 512kbps baud rate.

● The device supports RS232, RS422, and RS485 interfaces, only one interface can be used at the same time.

● It can automatically detect and control RS-485 data flow without the need for handshake signals to control data direction.

● It has the ability to automatically detect the baud rate of the serial port signal.

● It automatically detects if the remote device is powered off or if there is an E1 disconnection, and indicates it using LEDs.

● The serial port interface is equipped with lightning protection according to the IEC61000-4-5 (8/20μS) standard: 6KV for differential mode with an impedance of 2Ω, and 6KV for common mode with an impedance of 2Ω.

● The E1 interface supports adaptive 120Ω/balanced and 75Ω/unbalanced impedance.

● The serial channel can transmit adaptable serial data asynchronously at 300Kbps-921.6Kbps baud rate.

● The serial data is multiplexed in E1 and supports ITU-T R.111 bit-oriented synchronous HDLC coding mode.
