Industrial USB to 2-Port RS485 Converter Cable (6KV lightning protection)

The basic function of this FC-2105 device is USB to 2-port 6KV lightning protection high-speed RS485 conversion. The device is powered by the USB port and does not require an external power supply. It adopts a unique zero-delay automatic transmit/receive conversion technology, plug-and-play compatible with all software, and has transmit/receive enable control. In the standby state without sending data, the output is in a high-impedance state. It supports multi-point communication.

This product offers the following features:

● The FC-2105 device features a full-speed USB device interface, compatible with USB v2.0.

● It comes with an industrial-grade structured USB cable, which has a high-density braided shielding and magnetic ring shielding. The cable also includes a metal wire for tensile strength. Three cable length options are available: 0.5m, 1.5m, and 3m.

● The device simulates a standard serial port, allowing for the upgrade of original serial peripheral devices or the addition of additional serial ports through USB.

● It is fully compatible with serial port applications on Windows operating systems, requiring no modifications.

● The hardware of the device incorporates fully integrated transmit/receive buffers. The 2-channel RS485 interface supports communication baud rates ranging from 1200bps to 10Mbps.

● It is suitable for operating systems such as Win98/2K/XP, WIN10/WIN11 32/64-bit systems.

● The communication cable is made of shielded twisted pairs of copper wire with a cross-sectional area of at least 0.5mm. The maximum communication distance is 3000 meters (4800bps), 2000 meters (9600bps), and 1000 meters (115.2Kbps).

● The minimum number of networked sites is 128, and the maximum number of networked sites is determined by the RS485 input impedance of each site.

● It features 5 LED indicator lights: a red light for power, an orange light for 2-channel serial port data reception, and a green light for 2-channel serial port data transmission, providing convenient status monitoring.

● It has a gold-plated USB port and is powered by USB. It operates with a working current of less than 30mA. The USB interface protects against electrostatic discharge (ESD) of up to ±15kV (air) and ±8kV (contact). It also offers EFT protection of up to 40A (5/50ns) and lightning protection of up to 5A (8/20us).

● The 2-channel RS485 interface is equipped with three-level lightning protection, meeting GB/T17626.5 (IEC61000-4-5) standards. It can handle short-circuit current waves of 10/700μs and has an open-circuit peak output voltage of 6KV. The internal resistance is 40Ω.

● The device is designed for a wide temperature range, operating from -40°C to +85°C.
