The device is a IEEE802.3 media converter that can achieve media conversion or extend network transmission distance between two kinds of media, which are 10/100/1000Base-T UTP and 10/100Base-FX or 10/100/1000Base-T UTP and 10/100/1000Base-FX. It’s mainly used for fiber network far distance (20/40/60/80/120km) transmission, and it supports 10/100/1000M transmission rate.
● The device automatically adapts to 100Mbps and 1000Mbps environments.
● It supports full-duplex and half-duplex network communication, with auto-negotiation capability.
● The Ethernet interface supports jumbo frames (1600bit), which can match with the switch product complied with the IEEE802.10 protocol.
● It supports the LFP (Link Fault Pass Through) function, when the fiber used connecting the device and UTP has a fault, the device will notify the other end indicating fault information.
● With the Fiber Alter function, that is, after not receiving an optical signal it automatically cuts off the optical circuit (opened on network management).
