1 Port Serial to Fiber Converter | RS485/422/232 over Fiber

This device is designed with a large-scale FPGA, with one serial port that supports RS-232/422/485 interfaces. It is the best choice for connecting remote terminal units (RTUs) to hosts or distributed data acquisition systems (SCADA) controllers, with a high performance-to-price ratio. Using ordinary multimode fiber, the effective communication distance can reach 4KM, while using ordinary single-mode fiber, the effective communication distance can reach 0-120KM. The communication rate of the serial port can reach up to 921.6KBPS.

● The device provides one serial port that supports RS232/422/485 interfaces.

● It can automatically detect and control RS-485 data flow without the need for handshake signals to control the flow of data.

● It has the ability to automatically detect the baud rate of the serial port signal.

● It automatically detects if the device is receiving no fiber signal, indicating a power outage at the other end device or a broken fiber optic cable, and displays it on the LED.

● It supports SNMP Network Management for the rack-mounted type device.

● The serial port can transmit asynchronous serial data at a self-adaptive baud rate from 300 to 921.6Kbps.

● The serial port is protected against lightning strikes, meeting the IEC61000-4-5 (10/700μS) standard: differential mode of 6KV with an impedance of 2Ω, and common mode of 6KV with an impedance of 2Ω.
